2025 Mahindra Bolero is gearing up to introduce the next-generation Bolero, and the latest spy shots offer a glimpse into what’s coming. Based on recent sightings of a test mule, digital renderings suggest a bold new design, with significant upgrades inside and out. Industry experts predict the official debut may take place in August 2025, potentially on Independence Day (August 15) — a date Mahindra often reserves for major reveals.

2025 Mahindra Bolero Rugged Design with Modern Elements

The new Bolero retains its classic upright stance but gets a fresh, more aggressive appearance. The render shows a tall SUV with vertical pillars, a flat tailgate, and a spare wheel mounted at the rear — a signature Bolero trait. Up front, expect a sculpted bonnet, vertically slatted grille, and LED projector headlamps for a more contemporary look. The rear features updated rectangular tail lamps and a new bumper design. Stylish new alloy wheels are also likely to enhance its road presence.

Platform & Performance

Under the skin, Mahindra may introduce an updated ladder-frame chassis, setting it apart from the growing number of monocoque SUVs in the mid-size segment. This change is expected to enhance durability and off-road capability — key aspects of the Bolero’s legacy.

The upcoming SUV is likely to continue with the reliable 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine, delivering around 100 hp and 260 Nm of torque, currently found in the Bolero Neo. However, there’s speculation that Mahindra might offer larger engine options as well, possibly from models like the XUV 3XO, to boost power and broaden appeal.

Features & Technology

While pricing is expected to remain competitive, Mahindra may equip the new Bolero with select features from higher-end models like the XUV700, including updated infotainment, enhanced safety tech, and better interior materials. Both manual and automatic transmissions are expected to be on offer, making the SUV more accessible to a wider audience.
